My vision board helped me to see myself in a positive way.
It made me feel like the sky is the limit for me.

The Women in Training, Inc. Leadership Development Academy hosted the 2024 Vision Board Party, facilitated by WIT Board Member Tania Johns, on January 6, 2024. Each Monarch, or WIT Young Leader, created a poster board with images and words to describe their intentions for the calendar year. It was an afternoon of bonding between the Monarchs and Moms, and team building among the middle and high school young leaders and adult volunteers.
Dancer and Choreographer, Michaela "Mikki"McKenzie, a junior at Alabama State University auditioned the Monarchs for a showcase they will perform at the Third Annual WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch being held on March 2, 2024, at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center.
Mrs. Claudia Thomas Mitchell, Montgomery School Board Member, who provided the meeting space for the workshop, stopped in with her granddaughter to greet the WIT Monarchs.
Special thanks to Ms. Kimberly Caldwell, mother of WIT Monarchs Kacie and Ryleigh Caldwell, for providing administrative support for this and other workshops in November, December and January. Ms. Caldwell is also coordinating the Monarchs' showcase performance at the Third Annual WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch.
Here is what the WIT Monarchs had to say about their visions for 2024:
WIT Co-Founder Breanna Bennett, Junior, The Montgomery Academy: "My vision board represents Black excellence, art, fashion, travel, summer, luxury, staying physically and mentally fit, education, health, and wellness!!!"
