Wanda Anderson, Chairwoman, Deacons' Spouses and Ministers' Wives at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, expressed appreciation for support from the WIT Young Leaders.
“WIT's partnership this year is especially appreciated due to the status of the economy,” Mrs. Anderson said. “The current economic situation has caused more families to seek help this holiday, and it is a blessing to be able to continue with this special project.”
Thanks to the collaboration between Women in Training, Inc. and Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church's Deacons' Wives and Ministers' Spouses and congregation, 30 children received gifts valued at more than $2,500.
“Every child deserves to experience the joy of the holiday season,” said Tania Johns, WIT Vice President for Youth Development. “With hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving, we’re glad to be a part of making Christmas special for children at New Beginnings and other agencies.”
